I first met Michelle and Ben a couple of years ago when Michelle’s brother, Dan, got in touch to ask about a maternity and newborn shoot as a present for Michelle. Knowing Dan back from when I used to live in Long Melford, I knew how lovely he is and couldn’t wait to meet the rest of his family – and what a truly lovely family they are!
Having already photographed Michelle’s maternity photos and newborn photos (of their gorgeous little man, William), I was absolutely delighted when Michelle and Ben asked me to photograph their wedding, too!
Their day started at Michelle’s family home, where I was thoroughly looked after by Michelle’s super-lovely mum, Sharon, who was offering up salmon bagels and just the best cups of teas! Michelle looked stunning in her gorgeous fitted dress…and those bridesmaid dresses – well, I fell totally in love with them!!!
Then I popped over to see Ben and his boys who were being treated to a full fry up at Ben’s family home in the true English village of Hartest.
Now then. Before I explain the next part of the day, I have a bit of a confession to make…I absolutely love tractors – I’ve always had a thing for them!? In fact, riding a tractor on a muddy field is probably the most random thing that’s on my ‘bucket list’!
So…with that odd confession out of the way – just imagine how excited I was when I heard that the boys would be arriving at the church on what can only be described as one of the most awesome tractor and trailers ever!!!
What continued from there was one of the best, most relaxed, fun-filled wedding days. I feel privileged to not only have met Michelle and Ben’s family – but to have been lucky enough to be asked to be there to capture so many of the special moments in their life so far.
Thank you so much for such a great day, and I look forward to catching up with you all soon.
