Leavenheath Barn Wedding, Suffolk - Rosie + Andy
This was a special wedding for me as it took place all around the area where I grew up in the beautiful Dedham Vale. I also knew Andy from my primary school days when we were usually made to sit next to me in most classes! So growing up together, I knew Andy’s family pretty well and was over the moon when they asked me to shoot their wedding!
I knew it would be a perfect day as the couple are the loveliest of people and honestly I don’t think they stopped grinning all day long! The couples’ shoot with them was so natural and fun, and we had a real giggle.
The girls were getting ready at the lodges at Stoke by Nayland Golf Club - the most perfect light for some dreamy bridal shots. Rosie looked absolutely stunning in her sleek lace-top gown and Andy looked super-smart in navy. The groomsmen spent the morning just down the road at Rosie and Andy’s house, so I was able to dash between the two locations and capture the boys heading to Nayland church on the local bus.
Their wedding took place at Stoke-by-Nayland church which is the most stunning, large church, flooded with light (making for a very happy wedding photographer!). My heart always skips a beat when I see a church as beautiful as this, it makes for the most perfect photos! (top tip: lots of natural light is absolutely your best friend if you want gorgeous wedding photos!)
Their reception took place at Leavenheath Barn, and this was the first wedding ever held there, although you’d have never known! Everything went to plan and is was the most perfect place for a relaxed afternoon with garden games and a packed dance floor all night long!
I wish Rosie and Andy all the best for the future and a happy life together! You guys rock!
